Personal
Training
I have been in the industry now for over 10 years and have spent a lot of hours in a gym environment.
I would say that 80% of people coming into a gym are simply “ticking a box”. They walk through the door jump on a few machines have a blast on the cross trainer……..job done.
The first question I ask my clients is “what do you want to get out of personal training”? Most people need a reason to train, an event, fat loss, a holiday, the list goes on. Without a tangible motivator it’s hard to get anything done.
I have over 10 years industry experience, but experience isn’t everything!
I have a love for training and pushing myself to the limit, from lifting heavy in the gym to cycling up Mount Tiede I have done it all.
But this isn’t all about me, what this has taught me is what needs to be done to get from A to B. Learning, reading and extending your knowledge is important but being on the road in 30 degree heat with a 21 mile climb up the side of a volcano in front of you it’s experience that gets you through.
I take a rounded approach with my clients, first looking into their current lifestyle, training history, nutrition, stress management, sleep and other life choices. I then pull together a plan detailing what needs to be done to help you reach your targets.
